Dear Sir/Madam

RE: Ban of sugary drinks and consumption on campus

“We received the announcement that the school management has planned to stop the sale of sugary drinks and also banned the consumption of them on campus. Many students were angry at this announcement and we decided to write this letter to appeal regarding the subject mentioned above.

Based on our personal views, we thought that this ban of sugary drinks came too abruptly to us and there is no reason provided behind this ban. And in support to our views, we conducted a mini-survey in this class of E25A and the results obviously showed that 24 out of 25 of our classmates were totally against this announcement.

Some of them were even perplexed by this sudden announcement. In fact, most of the students felt that sugary drinks are actually part of their lives and it is thought that sugary drinks actually boosts their enthusiasm in class.
(I personally need Redbull energy drink to keep myself up and running the whole day. And what will happen to those who need these kinds of energy drinks to stay awake throughout the day? Or those representing the school in terms of sports? What will happen to the performance if there isn’t enough glucose to supply energy throughout?)

“After researching through the internet, we actually found out that the Health Promotion Board of Singapore invented a new range of healthier drinks in February, 2006 stamped with HPB’s seal of approval. These new range of healthier drinks has less sugar intake as compared to the other sugary drinks and also, it will decrease consumption of sweetened beverages which can also help to reduce excessive body weight gain. This is the alternative solution we proposed to you and your management, instead of totally banning the sale and consumption of sugary drinks altogether. Also, we understand that Republic Polytechnic is a school whereby students’ welfare is the priority, and therefore they should take students’ opinions into their consideration.”
(I believe that there are some of us who have low sugar level. And the fastest way without eating is grabbing a drink which contains sugar to prevent giddiness and worst case scenario, fainting. By not selling them, it would seem unfair to those who are having this unique health condition. Should there anything were to happen to their child, would the school hold responsibility? Think about it.)

This issue is becoming a major disappointment to most of the students and we, on behalf of the students, sincerely hope that you and your management will seriously reconsider your decision on this ban of sugary drinks. I thank you for spending your most precious time reading this letter and I look forward to you and your management’s resolution to this issue.

i disappeared for 4 months already !! hahaha ...friends always urge me to update my blog ... since these few days i cant seem to be sleeping , so must well come here clear dust and update lor :p hehe, let me start ... before my school holidays bah ,

well, life during school times and days are just great ! everyday chill out with clique and friends ... either in school or outside school (: and we finished exams around 2weeks + ago ... that is those times that i feel that actually i am studying !! it had been really ages which i really hug my books, sit down , study , make notes etcetc , for those people who really are close to me should be able to know what im trying to convey... hahaha, last time i didnt even care about exams, i think im very smart, flip some pages can go exam hall already... hahaha ~ but this time different , i really want to have good gpa. even if 'CHOY' the gpa was not as good as what i expected to be , i will still be contented that i had put in effort this time round !! :D will kinda miss the days in school as we are going to have our attachment soon at 11 oct... which is like 2 weeks time ? will really really miss my clique lots !!! T_T

alrights, time to blog about my birthday celebration...

Sherlin , Cherin , KuanYen celebrated my birthday on 20 september as cherin cannot celebrate at actual day cos of work , and sherlin cos of her mum bday too . ( AGRHHHH i just quit calling u SHERLIN . i just type YT . ;X ) hahaha ~ yup , so i meet yt in early afternoon, and she passed me my birthday presents.. and we walked to plaza busstop to meet cherin ~ after that we took 960 to bugis junction and we purchased 3 movie tickets for 'DEVIL' xD then we meet ky outside seoul garden ~ and YAY ~ we are eating seoul garden ! ( saliva dropping le ) then we eat eat eat tok tok tok eat tok eat tok and ky say she wanna go to the washroom , ( i nvr think so much la , go washroom only ~ ) then she came back real fast ( i was obsessed with my food so i didnt ask how she fly ) hahaha , then we began toking about anime , high school of the dead . ( real otakus , yeah? ) until suddenly, the place as playing a music... BIRTHDAY SONG!!! and the manager , followed by 2 of the server brought out my birthday cake with smiles ! HAHA seriously i was so SHOCKED AND SURPRISED LAAAAAAAA ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ HAHAHA then i was like , brain connect wrong wire and start ki-siao-ing ~ was so charged up and hyper !! ;D after that i made my wishes , camwhoring , then started to blowoff the candles... and cut the cake... eat... ;D we all ate so full that we cant walk ! hahaha ~ after that 4 of us went to took neoprints ( gosh i love that machine ♥ ! ) after that , we wave ky gdbyes and thank you and we went to watch movie... after the movie, we went to buy some munchies ♥ and headed to the flyer !!~ (YAY ~ FINALLY LAAAAAA ♥ ) then we walked damn longgggggggg to reach cos of the f1 closure of roads ~~ >< .... after we took the flyer , we took bus and home sweet home ♥ dunno how sld i convey my feelings, so i requested to hug both of them ♥ really really thanks for it ... ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

alrights, what about my birthday on 25 sept ? xD

i went out with alan , weijie , yuanfeng , dexter , and weiting ~

met alan and weijie first at somerset to watch movie... suppose to watch the 3d ghost movie, ( the horror of the ladyrinth ) but well , nvm , time dun let us to.. so we was wondering wad other movie to catch but not very late ones, hurhur... guess wad, we watched ' DEVIL ' HAHAHA. yes devil ! my movie of the month is DEVIL :D . but nvm ma, enjoy jiu okay le :D after we watched finish the movie, dex met up with us at cineleisure ~~ we took sometime shopping, and we headed to bugis to meet yuanfeng ~~ once we reached there, 4 of us bought some ice creams to eat ~ its too hot lurhhhh ~~ D: then we walked to bugis junction and saw yuanfeng ! before that we were still guessing what will he wear ;x and no1 guessed it right. hahaha xD yeah , we walk around bugis junction and then decided on taking neoprints ~ so we waited for weiting to come and soon we took neoprints tgt ♥ was having so much fun decorating and weijie's expression was sooooooooo funny each photo ! :DDDD enjoyed ♥ . after that, they asked me to choose bday present because they dunno what to get for me LOL . ( i really dunno wad i sld ask for so... ) i told them they can just buy anything they wan to give me , its ok ;D its the thoughts that counts ma (: so ... undecided on what to buy , we went to the hongkong resturant to eat dinner !!! IT♥ WAS♥ DAMN♥ FUN♥ AND♥ FULL♥ HAHAHAHA !! yeah we ate a steaks , fruit juice, garlic bread , dessert, and a SUPER DUPER BIGGGGGGGGGG GLASS OF MILK TEA !!! was omg larh ! nearly fainted when i saw it ! xD hurhurhur !! after the food was served , the guys says that they going down to buy my bday cakes so i was , uh . ok ;D so the table left me, food, and weiting ;D we chat and chat ♥ and hungry ! hahaha they sure was taking a long time, and i was wondering they baking cake themselves alrd har? LOL . but , continue to wait ;D until they went back and i.... CANT BELIEVE MY EYE ! they bought a helium ballon ♥ bday cake ♥ and a rose with teddy ♥ muhahahaha i love it seriously ♥ hehehe [: and then we finally eat dinner !! and forcing ourselves to drink the uber big milk tea ~ until out tummy going burst !! >.<>

after that we walked around and headed to arcade toilet... then dex tell me that weiting got curfew so he need to send her back home .. so , goodbye for this couple ! ♥ after that the 4 of us went to illuma and play ! jubeated with alan , basketball with weijie and king of fighters with myself ♥ ~ after that we home sweet home ~~ ♥ ♥ ♥

somethings i didnt mention here lurh , dun wan spoil good flow ! hurhur !! :DD ♥

yeah i really ♥ my bdae lots lots ((: nt only those who wish me , but those who wish me too !!!

and shocked that school have the queuing for taking tem.

HAPPY PAPA'S DAY !!!

well, i sld share abt how i spend my papa day this yr...
i slp until afternoon ...
and rot at home ..
watched zhong ji san guo ...
hmmm and then wait my papa be home on 3pm ..
after that we watched tbee and i continue my video..
then until evening, me , my papa , my bro and his gf prepare to go out to makan dinner and we meet our mama at bukit panjang plaza ...
well, we dined in tang dian wang..
we eat dang gui roast duck, veg with 3 kinds of mushrooms, he ye fan , sweet potato porridge, mian sian , sweet and sour meat and coffee meat ..
then bill ..
and the total is 108 bucks !!!

after that we were really full ..
so we decided to walk around plaza..
and we discussed abt phone..
well, i need to wait till december then can change phone .. ):
been waiting for soooooooooooooooo long ...

these days im getting lazy ..
well well well , holidays finally comes and im ok with it..
first day of holiday ~

MONDAY

when back to school for exams at 1 pm ~
the exams was like.. ok ?
but the brain juice squeezed dried le ..
quite hard...
abt managed to finish it on time..
after that i meet cherin and sherlin at bukit panjang plaza..
go there eat dinner...
walk abt and go home..

TUESDAY

went to bugis if cherin and sherlin to take our aura ,
and cherin one is the best among the 3 of us ..
sherlin de is infra red and red ...
mine is totally infra red...
i think im going crazy somedays ~
hopefully there will be ice for me ..
went to party world at orchard to K ,
sing and sing.. but we ordered so much song but nv managed to sing finish..
after that we walked and go art friend,
then go home after slacking ..

WED

woke up 7 am , and prepare to go for escape theme park ..
was feeling so hyper in the morning ..
meet cherin and sherlin under my house,
and we proceed to city hall and meet weijie ..
then not for long, we reached pasir ris and walked to the location ...
paid money and went it..
we 4 was wondering wad ride should we take first ...
after deciding, the answer is yakult ..
blahblahblah , the rest i dun wanna say it
make me boil only ,
haha , ok ,
after the whole thing we dicided to take a stroll in the pasir ris park ..
cool ...
beach .. track ... sand .. wind .. sun .. sea water ..
everything was there !!
but something is not right.
haha, dun wanna dwell on it again ,
move on ,
we walked back to mrt after quite a long slack ..
nearly kana bang by a car.. yay
after that took mrt home.
and blah ,
waved goodbye to weijie at cityhall ,
and there left we three..
and blah ,
reached jelapang lrt,
we dicided to makan at greenridge..
so i buy maggie mee and sherlin buy soy milk and strawberry creamed bread.
eat tok eat.
home sweet home.

THURS

woke up at 6 to prepare for student council camp in school..
papa drove me to school and i reached there about 8.25 ..
and i dozed off in the car ..
until i reached school !!
and the time was like passed so fast...
then i walk sleepily to a sit after waving goodbye to my dad~
then was like alone la , so decided to slp there
not long after, saw albin and there he was sitting infront of me liao .
then we proceed to the registration counter and sign on our name list..
then they told us wad group we were in ..
albin in red,
joan and ronghao in brown,
leeshean in green ,
me and terrence in blue..

so , we named it Super Candy ..
we supposed to protect it safe ourselfs until the second days for us to have the marks..
after that we played the straws game..
how to play ?
we need to make it as high as possible , without falling when blowed,
and there will be a marble on the top of the straws..
we were the third group for that x)
after that we went to the field to play more games..
the sun was like baking us loh !!!
no words can express the freaking hot sun...
played a lot of games..

normal schooling.. but teacher release us at 12 pm..
after that me, yaya, lee shean, joan, rong hao, terrence and albin went to safra to slack ...
so we played bowling..

today can say almost the whole day playing badminton..

after that around 4pm, we make our way to macpherson campus for our badminton training..

a week passed so fast...
happy may day today (:
today went to K with sHERlin and cHERlin..
we went to top one at bugis to k...
but... the queue was so long, and the person say we must reserve a place before we come to here in public holiday next time..
so we walked from bugis to orchard to find party world ktv...
after surviving in the hot sun, we found out that the party world was demolished -.-
ok, so we walked to cineleisure to find k- box,
and we finally ended sing there..
with k lunch, each person $13.50 (:
went crazy down there...
sing and sing..
our room so good.. got pool table and the projector screen...

TADA ~ im here cox cherin had caught me nv update. haha.

well, im here to talk and share about the Eawards.. haha.. got up at around 8am + and prepare my stuffs and my pipi to go out .. then meet kerrin under my house.. when to city hall mrt station and walkwalked there.. kerrin finally brought herself an icecream which cost 6 bucks + ! oh my gosh ~ money fly away.hahaha. after that we when to find places which sells lightsticks, but sadly, nope. so we tabao-ed subway to queuing places and makan when we were hungry. after tabao-ing, we make our way to the queueing station.. the funny thing was we walked one big round without realising that it was just infront of us. cute right. hahaha. so, we reached there and was confused about those sitting arrangement.. red, blue, green, grey, yellow .. so asked the person incharge and we finally sat down.. made some new frens there and saw 2 primary school friends ! haha greenridge pri rocks okay. ^^ . then the day was sooo hot.. can feel that we all were melting.. haha.. but this was only the begining... after that, rain comes ! oh my gosh. big downpour.. but no ones moved. we were very jian chi !haha .. then we waited until 5pm+++ then those ursher began to sort us into our colours of ticket.. so we climbed 3 storys of stairs.. and find a good sets to sit down.. it was like oh-so-finally that the whole thing starts.. everyone was so high ! begin to cheer and pipipipipipi ! finally can rate myself as bibijun that day. hahaha LOL . xie xie lor ~ then show was the last person to perform.. when he perform.. was .. oh my god . ALMOST everyone stands up and yell ! shout ! cheer ! woots ! then yanteng their ssu stand on e chair lor, pro. sfc here was like standing and cheer and take pics and videos.. what i can say is, the performance was great ! marvellous ! woots ! ahaha . then after that , we when to toliet and meet our new friends to makan and wait for MY 阿烈 ( someone pls dont kill me ) haha . then finally.. he is out ! ahaha high lor ! then like wth, some idiotic female dogs shout who want to wait for you whatsoever, childish ppl do childish things. so old liao still no brain. sad for you all. then was lik 3.40 -4 am in the morning then cabbed home with kerrin.. well kerrin, i will be more willingly to wait longer next time (:

just come back from class chalet this week.. uh0h, the games during the first night was won-der-ful ! CHERRIOS for whoever have thought this game (: ..

well well well, during the second day, sumhow i was in great displeasure, but never mind, let it go, haha .. but soon after that the whole class got mad ya ! make the chalet tio serious flood haha, even the workers want to take a photo for memo! the third day was a cycle day, cycle and cycle .. butt pain, so when back to the chalet. so, the rest of the people when cycling, and they cycled to east coast park. <-- PRO.

but soon after, it began to rain ! OH GOSH I WAS LIK WTH. how they come back? but they managed to come back at 3.30a.m sharp .. thank god! all the people was drained.. poor thing.. after that, when to old changi hospital with harun, desmond and cherin. so sad, didnt managed to get in ya. ): hope to go there again ! the four days three night finished in a flash of light ): sad. money gone during playing dai dee too. sad sad sad. haha, but never mind, if got a next time i will win backkkkkk !
